Project Title: Rejuvenation and Restoration of Community Ponds
Location: Nuh District, Haryana
Issuing Authority: Akhil Bhartiya Gramin Uthan Samiti (ABGUS)
1. Introduction
Akhil Bhartiya Gramin Uthan Samiti (ABGUS) invites sealed bids from experienced civil contractors/firms for the rejuvenation of selected community ponds in Nuh, Haryana. The project aims to improve water retention capacity, strengthen local groundwater recharge, and restore the ecological balance of the water body.
2. Scope of Work
The contractor shall be responsible for the following activities:
- Earthwork & Excavation: Desilting and excavation of the pond bed to the specified depth to increase storage capacity.
- Expansion & Shaping: Expanding the pond periphery and laser levelling as per the demarcated layout.
- Compaction & Back-filling: Proper compaction of the bed and slopes; back-filling of low-lying areas using excavated soil where suitable.
- Earthen Bund Walls: Construction and strengthening of perimeter bunds (embankments) with proper layering and mechanical compaction to prevent breaches.
- Inlet Gradient Slope: Construction of a structured inlet ramp to facilitate smooth water inflow and prevent soil erosion during monsoons.
- Catchment Area Levelling: Grading and levelling of the immediate catchment area to ensure efficient drainage into the pond.
- Brickwork & Masonry: Construction of gradient slope, silt traps, toe walls, or steps (ghats) using high-quality bricks and cement mortar wherever specified in the plan or drawing.
3. Technical Specifications
- Soil Quality: Excavated silt must be stacked or disposed of as per ABGUS instructions.
- Compaction: Bunds must be compacted in layers not exceeding 200mm.
- Materials: All brickwork must use "First Class" local bricks and a 1:4 or 1:6 cement-sand ratio as per engineering standards.
4. Eligibility Criteria
- Proven experience in water body restoration, watershed management, or rural civil works.
- Availability of necessary machinery (JCB, Poclain, Rollers) and skilled labour.
- Ability to complete the work within the stipulated timeline (before the monsoon season).
5. Submission Requirements
Interested parties must submit:
1. Technical Bid: Company profile, previous experience in similar projects, and quipment list.
2. Financial Bid: Item-wise rate analysis (BOQ) covering excavation per cubic meter, brickwork per square meter, etc.
3. Timeline: A week-wise execution plan.
